Kazuya Wright

Kazuya started Martial arts training at the age of 7 at his fathers insistence and began bodybuilding at age 17 with dreams of becoming a working actor once he established a physique that would separate him from others.

At 25 he began training in film and television acting under the tutelage of John O'Brien & later esteemed theater director and actor Andrew Buchanan. Once finished he landed the lead in his first short film "Granddad's Heaven" before setting off to LA to learn more under Martina Lotun with TVi actors studios.

After a brief stint in LA he came back to Australia and starred in various short films before winning a role in the Japanese success "Moyuru Toki". The story of a Japanese company struggling to survive amongst the trade union regulations in America. The next project he would star in was the locally produced "The Underdog's Tale" that would see him as the Security guard that relentlessly hunts his prey.

After heading to New York to live for a few months he would return landing the lead role of Bruce in the zombie film "Axed". The lone survivor that must battle his way through hordes of the undead in order to save his family. He would then go on to lend his voice to the CGI animated short "Syndicate" playing the Agent Farr, the relentless operative that works for the elusive Shadow Syndicate, fixed on world domination. After returning to short films like "Repentance", "Unfinished Business" and "The Amazing Adventures of Sebastian Green" he would be offered the starring role of Harry Redford AKA Captain Starlight; the famous bushranger in the biography named the same. "Harry Redfood III" allowed Kazuya to achieve on of his smaller goals of learning to ride horses through acting.

Next came the thriller "Harrisville" which Wright played the serial killer Brad Bailes who along with his friends played a game of cat and mouse with his victems before finally doing away with them. The next vehicle on Wrights career list was the action martial arts film "Vigilante" (directed by Aash Aaron) where he starred as the antagonist Alex Devro, the drug using psychotic son of mob boss Milo Devro who is a law unto himself. Starring as well as being an associate producer on his next project "Loyalty" (directed by Jake Reedy) is a gritty crime thriller that sees four criminals trapped together and must survive twenty four hours alone with a rival Syndicate boss that will redefine Australian cinema.

Recently winning a guest starring role on Australia's television show "Sea Patrol" Kazuya is in pre-production on his next project "Legacy of the Spear", an action adventure film that sees him as the bumbling yet heroic Kain Carver that is searching for the sacred holy artifact due to be released in 2010.
